Real-time physics and game feel for 3D experiences in the browser, touch interfaces that feel like real objects, and a personal assistant that shares its memory between desktop and phone.

I make digital things feel good in your hands

Every action responds instantly and has just the right weight, like a good game.
Technical detail

I care about how every action feels: it responds instantly, has just the right weight and never jumps. Like a good video game, even on a serious website.
- I design how a product feels, not just how it looks: instant response, anticipation, weight, inertia and settling, with no teleporting or jumps.
- Motion curves and measured juice The small touches of motion, sound or light that make an action land and make you want to do it again.: just enough for the action to read, no decoration, with visual and haptic feedback.
- Characters with believable behaviour: states, attention (watching the cursor), rest, curiosity and response to direct handling (grab, throw).
- Reviews by specialised game feel How good it feels to handle something: it responds instantly, has just the right weight, and every gesture gets an answer. and animation auditors, with film and video-game criteria, for every new mechanic.
- The same on the web as in 3D, with interfaces you handle like a physical object, on phones too and respecting “reduce motion”.
- The proof is on this very home page: MANCA, my virtual assistant, lives camouflaged in it.
I design games and make them playable

Clear mechanics and lively characters, from the idea to something you can play.
Technical detail

From the idea to a prototype you can play: clear mechanics and rules, and characters that react naturally, tuned until they're fun and easy to read, on phones too.
- Godot 4 A free, open-source game engine. (GDScript): characters with activity-level behaviour and procedural animation Motion calculated on the fly from what's happening, instead of being drawn frame by frame., reviewed by animation auditors.
- Art direction from references, model viewers for sign-off before integration, and silhouette and readability reviews on small screens.
I create 3D experiences in the browser

3D worlds that open from a link and move with believable physics.
Technical detail

Interactive 3D worlds that open from a link, nothing to install, with believable physics and smooth on phones too.
- three.js The most widely used library for drawing 3D in the browser. with BVH A way of organising 3D geometry to find out very quickly what collides with what. collisions and Rapier A fast physics engine: gravity, collisions, objects you can pick up and throw. physics (WebAssembly Compiled code that runs in the browser almost as fast as an installed program.): grabbing, throwing and structures you can move through.
- Multiplayer with an authoritative server In an online game, the server decides what really happens, so nobody can cheat from their own computer. over WebSocket An always-open connection between browser and server so they can exchange data instantly. and the same simulation on client and server.
- Performance: a fixed frame-rate target, automatic measurement and hunting down hitches and flicker.
- Carefully tuned feel: easing, weight, settling and first-person camera, with no jumps or duplicates.
- Worlds defined as data (components, catalogues and styles in YAML A simple text format for data and settings that both people and programs read easily.) and tile-based building.
